Being an orthodontist keeps me young! My patients are always bringing new challenges and I enjoy learning something new every day. It is nice to meet so many new people and help them improve their smile and sometimes, change their life. My profession is a great source of joy in my life. We have the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people and also to be a part of their lives for a short but important period of time. I take this job very seriously and want to make sure my patients achieve a healthy, happy smile.

Education and Continuing Education

I attended Michigan State University where I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1994. I am a Board Certified Orthodontist and obtained my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry before receiving my Certificate of Orthodontics in 2000 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.

I am a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and attend their annual meeting to learn new techniques and keep up with the latest research and clinical findings. I am also a member of the Connecticut State Dental Association and attend various meetings and seminars during the year. Continuing education is a vital part of my profession. I believe we need to maintain the highest level of care, and in order to achieve the best results, we need to be constantly updating our knowledge base.

Our Team

Our team is made up of a wonderful group of women who have worked together for a long time. They care about each other and respect the field they are in. They are also very knowledgeable and are a resource to our patients both in person and on the phone. We are proud to have two hygienists on our team and they do a great job keeping our patients’ smiles healthy while they’re receiving orthodontic treatment.

In the Community

Our office sponsors the Revlon Run/Walk and the Gibbs Orthodontics team has raised over $5,000 over the past two years to find a cure for women's cancer.

Outside the Office

I was born in Brazil and grew up in Midland, MI. I have lived in Fairfield County for the past ten years. I love spending time playing with my daughter, practicing yoga and Pilates, playing tennis, cooking, and going to the beach in the summer.
